William Johnson (cricketer, Born 1962)
William Robert Johnson (born 7 October 1962) is a former English cricketer. Johnson was a right-handed batsman who played primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was born at Iserlohn, West Germany. Johnson made his Minor Counties Championship debut for Wiltshire in 1984 against Dorset. From 1984 to 1989, he represented the county in 11 Minor Counties Championship matches, the last of which came against Dorset. Johnson also represented Wiltshire in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. His debut in that competition came against Devon in 1985. He played a further Trophy match for the county in 1989, also against Devon. Johnson also represented Wiltshire in a single List-A match against Warwickshire in the 1989 NatWest Trophy at Edgbaston. In his only List-A match, he scored an unbeaten 14 *. Iserlohn (; Westphalian: ''Iserlaun'') is a city in the Märkischer Kreis district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the largest city by population and area within the district and the Sauerland region. The 1989 NatWest Trophy was the 9th NatWest Trophy. It was an English limited overs county cricket tournament which was held between 28 June and 2 September 1989. The National Counties Cricket Association Knockout Cup was started in 1983 as a knockout one-day competition for the National Counties in English cricket. At first it was known as the ''English Industrial Estates Cup'', before being called the ''Minor Counties Knock Out Competition'' from 1986 to 1987, the ''Holt Cup'' from 1988 to 1992, the ''MCC Trophy'' from 1993 to 1998, the ''ECB 38-County Cup'' from 1999 to 2002, the ''MCCA Knockout Trophy'' from 2003 to 2005.
