William J. Dorgan
William J. Dorgan (November 9, 1921 – October 11, 2003) was an American Republican Party (United States), Republican Party politician who served in the New Jersey General Assembly, as Mayor of Palisades Park, New Jersey, and as a member of the Bergen County, New Jersey, Bergen County Board of County Commissioners (New Jersey), Board of Chosen Freeholders. Dorgan was born on November 9, 1921, in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, the son of William and Julia Dorgan. He graduated from St. Cecilia High School (New Jersey), St. Cecilia High School and attended Seton Hall University. Dorgan served in the United States Coast Guard, US Coast Guard during World War II and was a Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Post 4365. The ''Central New Jersey Home News Tribune'' is a Daily newspaper serving Middlesex County, New Jersey. The paper has an average daily weekday circulation of about 49,000. The newspaper is the result of the 1995 merger of ''The Home News'' of East Brunswick (founded 1879) and ''The News Tribune'' of Woodbridge Township. The News Tribune was previously known as "The Perth Amboy Evening News." The combined paper, initially renamed the ''Home News & Tribune'' before the ampersand was removed, was sold to Gannett in 1997. In 2009, some production operations were moved and consolidated with those of Central Jersey Gannett newspapers. Those operations are now located in Neptune. The New Jersey Election Law Revision Commission (ELRC) was a bipartisan panel established in 1964 to review all of the state's election laws and recommend ways to modernize them.
