William Inboden
William Charles Inboden III (born November 7, 1972) is an American academic, writer, and former White House staffer. Inboden is the executive director and William Powers, Jr. Chair of the Clements Center for National Security at the University of Texas at Austin. He also serves as an associate professor of public affairs at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and Distinguished Scholar at the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law, as well as a Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum. Bill Clements
William Perry Clements Jr. (April 13, 1917 – May 29, 2011) was an American businessman and Republican Party politician who served two non-consecutive terms as the governor of Texas between 1979 and 1991. His terms bookended the sole term served by Mark Wells White, a Democrat who defeated Clements in the 1982 election only to lose his campaign for re-election in 1986. When Clements was first sworn in during 1979, he became the first Republican to have served as governor of Texas since Reconstruction. The National Security Strategy (NSS) is a document prepared periodically by the executive branch of the United States that lists the national security concerns and how the administration plans to deal with them. The legal foundation for the document is spelled out in the Goldwater–Nichols Act.
