William Graham (field Hockey)
William Evans Graham ' was an Ireland men's field hockey international. He was a member of the Ireland team that played at the 1908 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal. Graham also won Irish Senior Cup titles with both Palmerstown and Monkstown. He later served as an Ireland selector before becoming president of the Irish Hockey Union during the 1933–34 season. He was club president at Monkstown from 1927 until 1936. William Roger Graham (born September 27, 1959) is an American former American football, football player who played Safety (American football position), safety for six seasons for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). Career Collegiate William Graham played defensive back for the Texas Longhorns football, Texas Longhorns from 1979 to 1981. In 11 games in 1980, he recorded four interceptions. In 11 games in 1981, he recorded seven more, tying the school record, leading the Southwest Conference and tied for third in the nation. His 11 career interceptions were fourth all-time at Texas. Professional Graham was drafted in the fifth round by the Detroit Lions in the 1982 NFL Draft. William Graham (Queensland Politician)
William Graham was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly and a Member of the Queensland Legislative Council. Politics William Graham was elected to the Queensland Legislative Assembly for Darling Downs at a by-election on 23 March 1875. He held the seat until 26 November 1878 when he made a last-minute decision to not contest the 1878 election. Graham was appointed to the Queensland Legislative Council on 5 August 1880. Being a lifetime appointment, he served until his death on 7 June 1892. Personal life Graham married Louisa Elizabeth Turner on 9 January 1864 in Brisbane.
