William Shirley Fulton, (November 23, 1880 – November 20, 1964), an archeologist and founder of the Amerind Foundation was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University in 1903. Biography Several trips to Arizona between 1906 and 1917 permanently captured his interest in the archaeology and ethnology of the American southwest. Throughout the 1920s Fulton regularly traveled in the Arizona from his home in New England, exploring the mountains, as well as the canyons and mesa country seeking evidence of past occupation by earlier cultures that had inhabited the area. On one of his visits he was introduced to Texas Canyon with its unique geology and tales of prehistoric settlements. Fulton purchased about in Texas Canyon calling it the “FF Ranch” in 1930. William Fulton (born 6 December 1916) was a boxer who competed in the 1934 British Empire Games in London, England and the 1938 British Empire Games in Sydney, Australia, representing Southern Rhodesia. He was born at Golden Kopje Mine, Sinoia. In 1938, he won bronze in the lightweight division after winning his bronze medal fight over J. Ellis of Australia. Previously, Fulton defeated Joseph Collins of New Zealand in a quarter-final contest before losing his semi-final bout to Harry Groves of England. William Edgar Fulton (born August 29, 1939) is an American mathematician, specializing in algebraic geometry. Education and career He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1961 and his doctorate from Princeton University in 1966. His Ph.D. thesis, written under the supervision of Gerard Washnitzer, was on ''The fundamental group of an algebraic curve''. Fulton worked at Princeton and Brandeis University from 1965 until 1970, when he began teaching at Brown. William Fulton (born September 26, 1955) is an American author, urban planner, and politician. He served as mayor of Ventura, California, from 2009 to 2011, and later as the Planning Director for the City of San Diego. From 2014 to 2022, he was the head of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University in Houston, Texas. He is considered an advocate of the "Smart Growth" movement in urban planning. William James Fulton (born 25 November 1968), known as Jim Fulton, is a Northern Irish loyalist. He was a volunteer in the Loyalist Volunteer Force (LVF), the paramilitary organisation founded in 1996 by Billy Wright and later commanded by his brother Mark "Swinger" Fulton until the latter's death in 2002. He was convicted in 2006 of LVF-related crimes; these included having ordered the murder of a local Portadown woman and seven attempted murders. Fulton was sentenced to life in prison.
