William Foster McCord (politician)
William Forster McCord (5 October 1837 – 14 April 1898) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography McCord was born at Clonturk, County Longford, Ireland, the son of Charles McCord and his wife Martha (née Foster). He was educated in Longford and travelled to the United States with his father before arriving in New South Wales in 1857. After his arrival he established Coonambula Station at Eidsvold in what had now become Queensland in 1863 and also acquired the Cania run. On 17 January 1871 he married Emilie Beatrice Wall and together had three sons and three daughters. Electoral District Of Burnett
Burnett is an electoral division of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in central Queensland, Australia. It covers most of the coastal region south of Gladstone, as well as coastal and inland regions completely surrounding the district of Bundaberg. Towns within its boundaries include Miriam Vale, Agnes Water, Rosedale, Bargara, Woodgate and Childers. The Burnett River flows through the electoral district, hence its name. North Burnett Region
The North Burnett Region is a local government area in Queensland, Australia in the northern catchment of the Burnett River. Established in 2008, it was preceded by several previous local government areas with histories extending back to the early 1900s. It has an estimated operating budget of A$32 million.
