Will Duckworth
Will Duckworth (born 20 January 1954) is a former British politician who served as Deputy Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales from 2012 to 2014. He was the first Green Party councillor in the Black Country after serving on the Dudley Borough Council in the West Midlands from 2012 to 2015. He was elected as the party's second ever deputy leader on 3 September 2012 taking over from Adrian Ramsay. In September 2014, he lost the deputy leadership election with Amelia Womack and Shahrar Ali both becoming his successors. He was also the West Midlands regional Green Party first choice candidate on the list for the 2014 European Parliament election. Political career Described by Derek Wall as "a true working class Black Country lad", Duckworth joined the Green Party shortly before becoming a founder of the Dudley Greens in 2009. William Duckworth (football Manager)
Thomas Crook "Teddy" Duckworth (born 1882) was an English professional football player and manager. As a player, he was an outside right. He played in the Football League and the Southern League for Blackpool, West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers. Career Playing career Born in Blackpool, Duckworth began his career with his hometown club in 1902. He made ten League appearances during the 1902–03 campaign, scoring three goals. He spent the 1903–04 season with West Ham, firstly, then Blackburn Rovers, back in his native Lancashire. After making just one League appearance for ''Rovers'', he returned for a second spell with Blackpool late in the 1904–05 season, but did not make any appearances. The following term, however, he made 24 League appearances and scored two goals, before bringing his short career to a close. William Duckworth (composer)
William Duckworth (January 13, 1943 – September 13, 2012) was an American composer, author, educator, and Internet pioneer. He wrote more than 200 pieces of music and is credited with the composition of the first postminimal piece of music, '' The Time Curve Preludes'' (1977–78), for piano. Duckworth was a Professor of Music at Bucknell University. Together with Nora Farrell, his wife, he ran Monroe Street Music, the publisher of many Duckworth's pieces. Biography Duckworth was born in North Carolina in 1943. He obtained a bachelor's degree in music from East Carolina University, then master's and doctorates in music education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He studied composition under composer Ben Johnston and wrote his Ph.D. dissertation on the notation of composer John Cage. William Henry Duckworth (October 21, 1894 – August 9, 1969) was a justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia from 1938 to 1948, and chief justice from 1948 to 1969."In Memoriam: Chief Justice William Henry Duckworth", ''Reports of Cases Decided in the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia'' (1970), p. xxix-xxxi. Billy Duckworth
Bill Duckworth (born 21 February 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the VFL and West Perth in the West Australian Football League. He is best known for winning the 1984 Norm Smith Medal. His brother John also played league football. Duckworth appeared 35 times for the Cardinals (as they were known up to 1982) before being recruited by Essendon. He played as an aggressive defender, often seen at the fullback position. His heroics in the 1984 Grand Final win over Hawthorn earned him best on ground recognition and he won another premiership with the Bombers the following season. Duckworth retired in 1990 and returned to West Perth.
