Willie Doyle
William Joseph Gabriel Doyle, SJ MC (3 March 1873 – 16 August 1917), better known as Willie Doyle, was an Irish Catholic priest who was killed in action while serving as a military chaplain to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers during the First World War. He is a candidate for sainthood in the Catholic Church. Early life Doyle was born in Dalkey, Ireland, the youngest of seven children of Hugh and Christine Doyle (née Byrne). He was educated at Ratcliffe College, Leicester. After reading St. Alphonsus' book ''Instructions and Consideration on the Religious State'' he was inspired to enter the priesthood. In 1891 he entered St Stanislaus Tullabeg College, and was an ordained Jesuit priest in 1907. From 1909 until 1915 he served on the Jesuit mission team, travelling around Ireland and Britain preaching parish missions and conducting retreats. William "Bill" Doyle was the CEO of the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan (PotashCorp), the world's largest fertilizer company by capacity. Doyle has served as CEO of PotashCorp since 1999. On April 6, 2014, Doyle announced his intention to retire on July 1, 2015, and to transition from president and CEO to senior advisor on July 1, 2014, when he was succeeded by Jochen Tilk. Doyle formerly served as president of the International Fertilizer industry Association, a trade association representing the global fertilizer industry, and is a board member of Canpotex and the International Plant Nutrition Institute. William Doyle, FBA (born 1942) is a British historian, specialising in 18th-century France, who is most notable for his one-volume '' Oxford History of the French Revolution'' (1st edition, 1989; 2nd edition, 2002; 3rd edition, 2018). He is one of the leading revisionist historians of the French Revolution, obtaining his doctorate from the University of Oxford with a thesis entitled ''The parlementaires of Bordeaux at the end of the eighteenth century, 1775–1790''. William Doyle (born 29 January 1991), formerly known by his stage name East India Youth, is an English musician originally from Bournemouth, England. Doyle released his first solo album, ''Born in the USB'', in 2009, and was the leader of the indie pop group Doyle and the Fourfathers, whose sole studio album ''Man Made'' was released in 2011. His debut album as East India Youth, '' Total Strife Forever'', was released by Stolen Recordings on 13 January 2014. It was nominated for the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize Album of the Year award, as well as the Independent Album of the Year award at the 2014 AIM Independent Music Awards. William Edward Doyle (February 5, 1911 – May 2, 1986) was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and previously was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and a justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. Education and career He was born in Denver, Colorado and attended West High School, where he was an All City football player. He received a Bachelor of Laws from George Washington University Law School in 1937 and an Artium Baccalaureus degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1940.
