William Antonio Torres
William Antonio Torres Cabrera (born May 30, 1981 in San Salvador, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran professional football player, who currently plays as a defender for Once Municipal in the Primera División de Fútbol de El Salvador. Club career Nicknamed ''Pichuta'', Torres Cabrera started his professional career at local giants Alianza in 2000 and moved to newly formed San Salvador F.C. in 2003. He then left the club before it was disbanded and joined Águila in 2008. In 2011, he moved back to the capital to play for UES whom he had to leave at the end of a miserable season and he signed up with Once Municipal for the 2012 Clausura. International career Torres Cabrera was a gold medal winner at the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games, a tournament for U-21 national teams, and made his senior debut for El Salvador in a November 2002 friendly match against the United States and has earned a total of 30 caps, scoring no goals. FIFA World Cup Qualification
The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. The Honduras national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Honduras) represents Honduras in men's international football. The team is governed by the Federación Nacional Autónoma de Fútbol de Honduras (FENAFUTH). They are nicknamed ''Los Catrachos'', ''La Bicolor,'' or ''La H''. The 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the seventh edition of the Gold Cup, the association football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). For the first time since 1993, the tournament was held in more than one country, with games played in both United States and Mexico. The games were played in Mexico City, Miami, and for the first time in a northern U.S. city, Foxborough. The format of the tournament stayed the same as in 2002: twelve teams were split into four groups of three, the top two teams in each group would advance to the quarter-finals. Colombia and Brazil were invited, with the latter sending an Under-23 team. The United States' Landon Donovan put four past Cuba in the quarterfinals in a 5–0 win, but the defending champions went out to Brazil in the semi-finals. 2007 UNCAF Nations Cup
The 2007 UNCAF Nations Cup was the ninth version of the biennial football tournament for the CONCACAF national teams of Central America. The event took place in San Salvador, El Salvador from February 8 to February 18, 2007. It was the second time El Salvador hosted the competition. The tournament also served as a qualifying process for the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Costa Rica won the tournament on penalty kicks after a 1–1 draw with Panama in the final. It was Costa Rica's sixth title out of nine tournaments played. Panama reached the UNCAF final for the first time but also lost on penalty kicks in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2005.
