Willem Korsten
Willem Korsten (born 21 January 1975 in Boxtel) is a former Dutch professional footballer who played as a left winger. Football career Korsten played in the Netherlands for N.E.C. and SBV Vitesse before earning a loan move to Leeds United in the Premier League. In this short amount of time Korsten showed he had the pace, skill and strength to cope with English football, scoring twice in games against Everton and Derby County. Leeds decided to pursue a permanent transfer. However, Tottenham Hotspur also made a bid in the region of £1.5 million for the player, which was accepted. Due to injury, Korsten did not make his debut for Tottenham until December 1999 and made only nine appearances in the Premier League in the 1999–2000 season. The following season he made 14 league appearances, scoring his first Tottenham goal in a 3–1 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield in April 2001. Anfield
Anfield is a football stadium in Anfield, Liverpool, Merseyside, England, which has a seating capacity of 53,394, making it the seventh largest football stadium in England. It has been the home of Liverpool F.C. since their formation in 1892. The KNVB Amateur Cup ( nl, KNVB Beker voor amateurs) was the cup competition for amateur football clubs in the Netherlands. The winner qualified until 2016 for the amateur super cup match against the national Hoofdklasse champion. Velp is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the former municipality of Grave, about 2 km southwest of the city.
