Will Magie
William Magie (born 23 February 1992) is an English-born American former rugby union player who last played fly-half for the Austin Gilgronis in Major League Rugby. He previously played for London Scottish F.C. in the RFU Championship. Early career During his school years, Magie captained the University of Leeds rugby team. Magie also led the United States national under-20 rugby union team to the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy in 2012. Professional rugby career Magie signed his first professional contract in 2013 with the Ealing Trailfinders in the English Championship, England's second division. However, he saw little playing time with Ealing during the 2013–14 season. Magie signed with the Denver Stampede in early 2016 in the newly-formed PRO Rugby competition. Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club is an English professional rugby union club based in West London. The club's first team are the current champions of the RFU Championship but will remain in that league due to ineligibility for promotion to Premiership Rugby. They were promoted to the league after they won National League 1 in 2014–15. Structure of the club The club's registered playing name with the RFU is Ealing Trailfinders. The club is a Mutual Society registered with the FSA, and run on behalf of its members and the game. The Ohio Aviators are an American rugby union team that played professionally in the short lived PRO Rugby competition. They are based in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area, and played their home games at Memorial Park in Obetz, Ohio. They are now playing in the newly formed World Tens Series. History PRO Rugby announced on February 9, 2016 the addition of Columbus, Ohio as the league's third team. The selection of Columbus came as somewhat of a surprise, because the original PRO Rugby announcement in November 2015 did not mention that the competition planned to place a team in the midwest in the inaugural season. Ohio's inaugural season home opener was played on May 1, 2016.
