Will Johnson (born 26 October 1989) is an Australian rules footballer who played as a defender for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Johnson was recruited from the Sandringham Zebras in the Victorian Football League (VFL) after beginning his football career for Collegians Football Club in the Victorian Amateur Football Association, where he was sidelined with a shoulder injury before playing with Sandringham. Collegians are an Australian rugby league football team based in Wollongong. The club are a part of Country Rugby League and compete in the Illawarra Rugby League premiership. Originally known as CBC Old Boys, the Club was founded in 1933. The Brothers Club was then admitted to the Illawarra 1st Grade competition in 1938. The 2011 AFL season was the 115th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured seventeen clubs, with the newly established Gold Coast Suns, based in Gold Coast, Queensland, playing its inaugural season. The Sandringham Football Club, nicknamed The Zebras, is an Australian rules football club based in Melbourne which was formed in 1929 and plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL) which was formerly called the Victorian Football Association (VFA).
