Will Allen (safety)
Will Allen (born June 17, 1982) is a former American football safety. Allen played college football for Ohio State University, and received All-American honors. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and also played for the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. Early years Allen was born in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio, and played high school football for the Wayne Warriors. He was a member of Wayne High School's 1999 Division I State Runner-Up team, along with fellow Ohio State recruit John Hollins. His high school jersey #4 is the only number that has been officially retired by Wayne High School. Allen was named Division I first-team all-Ohio by The Associated Press for his senior season. Will Allen (cornerback)
Will D. Allen (born August 5, 1978) is a former American football cornerback. Allen played college football at Syracuse. He was drafted in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. Allen has also played for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. Early years Allen attended Corcoran High School in his hometown of Syracuse, New York, where he excelled in football and track. He only played two years of varsity football, both at cornerback, but he managed to collect a career total of 17 interceptions, including a school-record 11 as a senior. In addition, he also played wide receiver as a senior, catching 23 passes for 460 yards, a 20-yard average per-reception. He helped lead his team to consecutive 10–1 seasons. He was awarded first-team All-New York State and All-Central New York honors as a senior in 1995, and was a first-team all-conference cornerback in both seasons. Will Allen (born February 8, 1949) is an American urban farmer based in Milwaukee and a retired professional basketball player. Basketball career Will Allen was a high school state champion in basketball at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland Allen played collegiately for the Miami Hurricanes at the University of Miami, where he was on a basketball scholarship. He was the first African-American to play basketball for the University of Miami. After college Allen was selected by the Baltimore Bullets in the 4th round (60th pick overall) of the 1971 NBA draft. He never played in the NBA, but appeared in seven games with The Floridians of the ABA during the 1971–72 season. He also played professionally in Belgium. William Van Alen
William Van Alen (August 10, 1883 – May 24, 1954) was an American architect, best known as the architect in charge of designing New York City's Chrysler Building (1928–30). Life William Van Alen was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1883 to James Van Alen and Ina C. Van Alen (' Harder) both from Dutch descent. He attended Pratt Institute while working for the architect Clarence True. He also studied for three years at the Atelier Masqueray, the first independent architectural atelier in the United States, founded by Franco-American architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray. After finishing his studies, Van Alen worked for firms in New York, notably working on the Hotel Astor in 1902 for Clinton & Russell, before he was awarded the Paris Prize scholarship in 1908.
