Wilko Johnson
John Andrew Wilkinson (12 July 1947 – 21 November 2022), better known by the stage name Wilko Johnson, was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter and occasional actor. He was a member of the pub rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Johnson was known for his distinctive guitar playing style which he achieved by not using a guitar pick but playing fingerstyle. This enabled him to play rhythm guitar and riffs or solos at the same time creating a highly percussive guitar sound. Johnson and Dr. Feelgood were an influence on the English punk movement. Paul Weller said of Johnson: "Wilko may not be as famous as some other guitarists, but he's right up there. And there are a lot of people who'll say the same. I can hear Wilko in lots of places. Wilko Ltd., formerly Wilkinson Cash Stores (1930–1941) and Wilkinson Hardware Stores (1941–2014), is a British high-street retail chain which sells homewares and household goods. The company was founded in Leicester by James Kemsey Wilkinson in 1930, and remains in the ownership of the founding family. The founder's son, Tony Wilkinson, joined the company as a branch manager in 1960 and succeeded his father as chairman in 1972, retiring in June 2005. He was succeeded by his daughter, Lisa Wilkinson, and his niece, Karin Swann. In 2014, Karin Swann sold her family's 50% holding in the business to Lisa Wilkinson. Wilko Rudi Risser (born 11 August 1982, in Windhoek) is a Namibian-German footballer who plays for Chippa United in the South African Premier Soccer League. Club career Wilko Risser began his career with Ramblers Windhoek to kick-start his football career and played for until 2003. For 2003/04 season he moved to Germany to SpVgg EGC Wirges. Since he could not prevail there, he moved to another German FV Engers in the 2004/05 season. Once there, but he was not a regular player, he left FV Engers in 2006 and moved to SG Eintracht Lahnstein, where in the 2006/07 season, he scored 20 goals before switching to FC Schalke 04 II. Wilko De Vogt
Wilko de Vogt (born 17 September 1975 in Breda, North Brabant) is a former Dutch football goalkeeper. De Vogt started his professional career in 1996 with NAC Breda after he had come through their youth system. In 2001, he was transferred to Sheffield United. However, after only six appearances for the club in two years, he returned to the Netherlands when he was sold to RBC Roosendaal. He has since played for RKC Waalwijk and over 200 matches for FC Oss. In 2010, he joined FC Twente as their third choice goalkeeper. Jonathan Peter Wilkinson, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, CBE (born 25 May 1979) is an English former rugby union player.
