The 2019 Alberta wildfires have been described by NASA as part of an extreme fire season in the province. 2019 Nelson Fires
The Pigeon Valley Fire was a wildfire in the Tasman District and briefly the largest wildfire in New Zealand history before being surpassed by the Lake Ōhau Fire a year later. Deshka Landing Fire was a wildfire that burned five miles southwest of Willow in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska in the United States. The fire started on August 17, 2019 and burned .
