Roland Drew (born Walter Goss; August 4, 1900 – March 17, 1988) was an American actor. Biography Born in 1900 in New York City, Drew made his first film in 1926 and continued to work until the 1940s. Noted primarily as Dolores del Río's leading man in ''Ramona'' in 1928, another of his prominent film roles was as Dr. Robinson in ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' a decade later. His other appearances include ''From Nine to Nine'', '' Hitler, Beast of Berlin'', '' Bermuda Mystery'', and ''Two O'Clock Courage''. He also gained fame as Prince Barin in the 1940 film serial ''Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe''. On Broadway, Drew portrayed Jackson Macy in ''Shooting Star'' (1933) and Lieutenant Roget in ''Paths of Glory'' (1935). He retired from acting and became a dressmaker. RKO Radio Pictures Inc., commonly known as RKO Pictures or simply RKO, was an American film production and distribution company, one of the "Big Five" film studios of Hollywood's Golden Age. The business was formed after the Keith-Albee-Orpheum (KAO) theater chain and Joseph P. Kennedy's Film Booking Offices of America (FBO) studio were brought together under the control of the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) in October 1928. RCA chief David Sarnoff engineered the merger to create a market for the company's sound-on-film technology, RCA Photophone, and in early 1929 production began under the RKO name (an abbreviation of Radio-Keith-Orpheum). Francis Connolly Shannon (27 July 1874 – 1 February 1959) was an Irish people, Irish actor and writer. Career A Stage (theatre), stage actor and silent film pioneer, Shannon made his screen debut in 1913's ''The Artist's Joke''. He later appeared in dozens of films through the mid-1920s, including ''The Prisoner of Zenda (1913 film), The Prisoner of Zenda'' (1913) and ''Monsieur Beaucaire (1924 film), Monsieur Beaucaire'' (1924). Shannon then returned to the stage until beckoned back to Cinema of the United States, Hollywood in 1931 and played a few substantial supporting parts, including Captain McTavish in Warner Bros.' Oscar O'Shea
Oscar O'Shea (8 October 1881 – 6 April 1960) was a Canadian-American character actor with over 100 film appearances from 1937 to 1953. Early years O'Shea was born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Acting O'Shea was a comic actor who earned a million dollars but lost it all in the Great Depression. His first straight role came in a Federal Theatre Project production of ''It Can't Happen Here'', a play based on the novel of the same name. O'Shea's first film was ''Captains Courageous'' (1937). Management Beginning in 1929, O'Shea operated the Oscar O'Shea Players repertory theater company in the Embassy Theatre in Ottawa, Canada. He eventually ended the enterprise "to seek a field where his art would be more widely appreciated." He then set up an operation in Chicago, "where he managed his own theatre and stock company during good and bad years." Death O'Shea died in Hollywood, California, in 1960 at age 78.
