Wild Adriatic
Wild Adriatic (also known as WA) is an American rock band formed in Saratoga Springs, New York in 2011. They released their self-titled debut EP in 2011, followed closely behind by two more EPs. Their first full-length album, '' Big Suspicious'', was released in January 2014. In May 2015, they released the EP '' Never Enough'', which features a cover of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers and their first single "Strange Persuasions". History Early years (to 2011) The genesis of Wild Adriatic came about in several parts. Initially, singer and guitarist Travis Gray and drummer Mateo Vosganian were both members of a high school age pop-punk group called Horse In A Box. After the band members graduated Queensbury High School in 2004, the members parted ways in 2005 and went on to form other projects. ''Big Suspicious'' is the first full-length studio album from American rock trio band Wild Adriatic released in 2014. It was funded through fan support through PledgeMusic, reaching its goal of $11,000 on December 3, 2013. It has generated two official music videos for ''Lonely'' and ''Mess Around''. History The band recorded the album while living together for several weeks in a studio in Argyle, New York, Argyle, New York. The band chose to self-record the album, with Gray engineering and mixing the songs. The official CD release party took place January 18 in Albany, NY. The performance was filmed for an as of yet unreleased live DVD. Critical reception Big Suspicious has been called 'vintage' rock with its "meaty guitar riffs, organ, tambourine and cowbell. Gathering Of The Vibes
Gathering of the Vibes (often abbreviated as GOTV) was an annual four-day music, camping and arts festival that celebrated the Grateful Dead and showcased a diverse variety of music. Over the course of the event, styles would often include funk, Bluegrass music, bluegrass, Rock music, rock, jam band, jazz, reggae, R&B and folk music. Beginning in 1996, GOTV brought many bands to the New England area during the summer season. There existed two main stages which would alternate bands so that festival-goers could experience music all day and into the night.
