Herbert Sydney Wilcox Order of the British Empire, CBE (19 April 1890 – 15 May 1977) was a British film producer and film director, director. He was one of the most successful British filmmakers from the 1920s to the 1950s. He is best known for the films he made with his third wife Anna Neagle. Harvey Henderson Wilcox (1832 – March 19, 1891) owned a ranch west of the city of Los Angeles, which his wife Daeida named '' Hollywood'', and that they founded together in 1887. Hollywood became the center of the movie industry of the United States in the early 1910s. Frank Reppy Wilcox (March 13, 1907 – March 3, 1974) was an American actor. He appeared in numerous films and television series, as well as Broadway plays. Background Wilcox was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger V. Wilcox. He was born in De Soto, Missouri, but the family moved to Atchison, Kansas. Wilcox worked in Kansas City as an oil company's sales manager. Acting career Wilcox joined the Pasadena Community Playhouse. By December 1924, he headed the Frank Wilcox Company, which produced plays in venues that included the Lyceum in Baltimore. In 1927, he became a member of The Lambs Club. Wilcox became a contract player for Warner Bros., beginning with the 1939 short film ''The Monroe Doctrine'', in which he was chosen to portray the American statesman Henry Clay during the early 1820s. Floyd Wilcox
Floyd Cleveland Wilcox (March 17, 1886 – April 20, 1958) was the third president of Shimer College, serving from 1930 to 1935. His leadership, though marked by controversy, saw the school through the most difficult years of the Great Depression. He oversaw the transition of the school's curriculum from a two-year to a four-year junior college program. Wilcox was born in Mason, Michigan on March 17, 1886. Wilcox obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Kalamazoo College in 1910, and subsequently studied at the Newton Theological Institute in Massachusetts until 1911. In 1913, he obtained a Bachelor of Divinity from the Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. Edgar Wilcox (January 20, 1830 – October 25, 1917) was a politician and farmer. Born in Genesee County, New York, Wilcox moved with his parents to Sugar Creek Wisconsin Territory in 1845. In 1849, Wilcox and his family moved back to New York. In 1857, Wilcox moved to the Town of Oakfield, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin and settled on a farm.
