Wil Collins
Wil Collins (born August 24, 1978) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. Career Collins was born in Rapid City, South Dakota. He played college golf at the University of New Mexico from 1998–2002, where he played with fellow PGA Tour professional Michael Letzig and won the 2001 Ben Hogan Award. He turned professional in 2002. He won the 2005 Colorado Open by six strokes. Major appearances include 2005 and 2013 U.S. Open, where he missed the cut both times. Collins made a 20-foot par putt at the last hole of 2008 Q-School to win his 2009 PGA Tour card. He later said of it: "I finally have a home to play, and it's on the greatest tour in the world. It's going to take a while to sink in." After Collins was unable to retain status in the United States, he took his game to PGA Tour Canada, where he won the 2013 Dakota Dunes Casino Open. Rapid City, South Dakota
Rapid City ( lkt, link=no, Mni Lúzahaŋ Otȟúŋwahe; "Swift Water City") is the second most populous city in South Dakota and the county seat of Pennington County. Named after Rapid Creek, where the settlement developed, it is in western South Dakota, on the Black Hills' eastern slope. The population was 74,703 as of the 2020 Census. Nick Taylor (golfer)
Nick Taylor (born April 14, 1988) is a Canadian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour where he has won twice. Early life and amateur career Taylor was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia. His home golf course is Ledgeview Golf and Country Club. He graduated from the University of Washington and won the 2007 Canadian Amateur Championship. In 2008, Taylor qualified for the U.S. Open, in which he missed the cut by three strokes. He also finished T53 at the 2008 RBC Canadian Open. The ''Albuquerque Journal'' is the largest newspaper in the U.S. state of New Mexico. History The ''Golden Gate'' newspaper was founded in June 1880. In the fall of 1880, the owner of the ''Golden Gate'' died and Journal Publishing Company was created. The New Mexico Open is the New Mexico state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by the Sun Country section of the PGA of America.
