Wiktoria Chołuj (born 14 February 2000) is a Polish freestyle wrestler competing in the 72 kg division. Career In 2023, she competed in the women's 68kg event at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2024, she won one of the bronze medals in the women's freestyle 72 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. Białogard
Białogard (pronounced , german: Belgard, ; Pomeranian: ''Biôłogard'') is a historic town in Middle Pomerania, northwestern Poland, with 23,614 inhabitants as of December 2021. The capital of Białogard County in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship since 1999, the town was previously in Koszalin Voivodeship (1950–1998). The 2023 European U23 Wrestling Championships was the 8th edition of the European U23 Wrestling Championships of combined events, and it was held from 13 to 19 March in Bucharest, Romania. Incidents The Azerbaijani wrestler, Rahim Hasanov, hit the Armenian athlete, Karapet Manvelyan, in the face after losing in the quarter-finals of the championship, when the latter was reaching out to him for a handshake. The International Wrestling Federation disqualified Hasanov for unsportsmanlike behaviour. In the match between Solomon Manashvili of Georgia and Vakhit Galayev of Azerbaijan, the referees showed red cards to both wrestlers and disqualified them after a fight broke out after the end of the match. The women's freestyle 68 kg is a competition featured at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Belgrade, Serbia on 20 and 21 September 2023. This freestyle wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. European Juniors Wrestling Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling (subsequently discontinued and from 1983 contested separately).
