Wijnand Van Beveren
Wijnand "Wil" van Beveren (28 December 1911 – 5 October 2003) was a Dutch sprinter. He competed in the 100 m, 200 m and 4×100 metres relay at the 1936 Summer Olympics and finished sixth in the 200 m, running against Jesse Owens. In the relay, the Dutch team was close to a medal, but failed at a baton transfer. Van Beveren was a medal favorite in the 100 m at the 1938 European Championships, but finished fourth. He won three national titles, two in the 200 m (1937 and 1939) and one in 100 m (1939). After World War II, he retired from competitions and became a sports journalist, first with the weekly magazine ''Sport & Sportwereld'' and then with Emmer Courant. Anton Johan Wijnand (Wijnand) Duijvendak (born 30 November 1957) is a Politics of the Netherlands, Dutch politician. He is a former member of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands, House of Representatives for GreenLeft. Biography Duyvendak is the eldest son of a Minister (Christianity), minister from Zeist. After his high school he studied sociology at the University of Amsterdam between 1976 and 1980. He did not finish his studies and instead became involved the leftwing Amsterdam action world: he became involved in the squatting, squatting movement and the anti-militarist action group Onkruit. In 1984 he was jailed for six weeks for having broken into the Dubbeldam military complex together with other members of Onkruit. Between 1984 and 1987 he wrote for the radical magazine ''Bluf!''. Johan Wijnand Van Goor
Johan Wijnand van Goor (Linnich c. 1650 – Donauwörth, 2 July 1704) was a Dutch general in the Nine Years' War and the War of Spanish Succession. He was the last Master-general of Artillery of the Dutch States Army (the successor of Menno van Coehoorn in that function). He distinguished himself at the attempted passage of the Lines of Stollhofen (1703) and the Battle of Schellenberg where he died commanding the first assault. Wijnand Otto Jan Nieuwenkamp (Amsterdam, July 27, 1874 – Fiesole, April 23, 1950), was a Dutch multi-faceted autodidact. As an artist he was active as a painter, draftsman, sculptor, etcher, lithographer, and designer of book covers and of ex-libris. In addition, he was also known as a writer, architect, explorer, ethnologist and collector of East Asian art. He was the first European artist to visit Bali, being greatly influenced by and himself influencing the island's art and culture, and making it better known in wider world. Wijnand Nuijen
Wijnand Jan Josephus Nuijen (4 March 1813 – 2 June 1839) was a Dutch painter and printmaker who specialised in landscapes, and was greatly influenced by the French Romantics. Biography Born in The Hague (Den Haag) to a baker father who recognised his son's talent, Nuijen was apprenticed at age twelve to Andreas Schelfhout, a local artist. Between 1825 and 1829 he studied at the Den Haag Tekenacademie, under Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove. In his short lifespan Nuijen became a prolific painter of rural and marine landscapes, spending much time on the Normandy and northern French coasts. Here he fell under the spell of painters who were working in France, such as Richard Parkes Bonington (1802–1828) and Eugène Isabey (1803–1886), both of whom painted picturesque villages, Normandy harbours and seascapes, with a spontaneity Nuijen admired and adopted. Dr. Wijnand Antonius Bernardus van der Sanden (born 1953 in Geldrop) is a Dutch Archaeology, archaeologist and Prehistory, prehistorian. After graduating he studied history of arts and classical archaeology at the Radboud University Nijmegen, later he studied prehistory at the University of Groningen and the University of Leiden where he gained his doctorate in 1990 with a thesis on Dutch bog body finds from the Bronze Age to the Roman period ''Mens en moeras: veenlijken in Nederland van de bronstijd tot en met de Romeinse tijd.''
