Clemens Wijers
Clemens "Ardek" Wijers (born 10 November 1983) is a Dutch keyboardist, pianist, and composer best known as the keyboardist of Dutch symphonic black metal band Carach Angren. Before Carach Angren, Wijers played with Dark Mutation and then Vaultage where he met Dennis "Seregor" Droomers and they began Carach Angren as a side project, when the two connected over a shared love of horror and storytelling. Later Vaultage disbanded when Carach Angren became increasingly successful. Biography Clemens is the older brother of Carach Angren's former drummer Ivo "Namtar" Wijers. He first started playing piano at the age of 7 and played with a local youth choir throughout his teen years. He grew interested in metal in his secondary school years and joined a band as a way of combining his new interest with his classical background. Gerardus Johannes "Hans" Wijers (born 11 January 1951) is a Dutch retired politician of the Democrats 66 (D66) party, and businessman. He is the chairman of the supervisory board of ING Group since 2018. Early life After secondary school at Hogere Burgerschool (HBS-B) level, Wijers studied Economics at the University of Groningen, where he graduated ''cum laude'' in 1976. As assistant professor, he taught Economics at the Erasmus University, and in 1982 received a doctorate for his research in "Industrial politics: the design of governmental policy for industrial sectors". Louwrien Wijers
Louwrien Wijers (born 1941 in Aalten, Netherlands) is a Dutch artist and writer working in Ferwert. She was involved with the Fluxus art movement and worked with Joseph Beuys from 1968 through 1986. Like Beuys, she considers writing and speaking as sculpture. She makes what she calls "mental sculpture" as well as material sculpture. From 1965 on she has written on art for the Museum Journaal, Algemeen Handelsblad, Hitweek, het Financieele Dagblad and in several international books, magazines and publications. In 1970 she began making art. Her collection of interviews 1978–1987 with Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol, the Dalai Lama, Robert Filliou, Sogyal Rinpoche, David Bohm, Rupert Sheldrake, Francisco Varela, Nam June Paik and Harish Johari came out in German as ''Schreiben als Plastik'' in 1992 and was published in English as ''Writing as Sculpture'' in 1996. Bertha Tideman-Wijers
Albertha Wilhelmina Tideman-Wijers (8 January 1887 – 1 January 1976) was a Dutch composer who lived in Indonesia for almost two decades and incorporated Indonesian elements into her compositions. She published her music under the name Bertha Tideman-Wijers. Wijers was born in Almelo. Her family moved to Berlin in 1900, where her first music teachers were her mother and Marie Tauszky. She later studied with Max Loewengaard and Wilhelm Klatte at the Stern Conservatory in Berlin, then with Ernst von Dohnanyi and Richard Roessler at the Berlin Hochschule fuer Musik (today the Berlin University of the Arts). Wijers married Jan Tideman on 31 March 1910 and they had three children, Elisabeth, Bruno and Johanna. Tideman was a government official in the Maluku Islands in Indonesia, and they lived there until returning to the Netherlands in1929. Bruno unfortunately died while fighting in World War II.
