Wickremasinghe Rajaguru
Wickremasinghe B. Rajaguru (born 31 August 1938) was the 25th Inspector General of the Sri Lanka Police (IGP) (1995–1998). Rajaguru attended St. Anthony's College, Kandy. In 1993 he was forcibly retired at the age of 55 but following the election of the People's Alliance government at the 1994 parliamentary elections they granted the option for senior police officers who had faced potential political victimisation to appeal and request to be re-instated with back-wages. Rajaguru was one of the six officers reinstated and placed in the rank of Senior DIG. He was appointed as IGP on 29 July 1995. In 1996 he established the Central Anti Vice Striking Force (CAVSF), a police division whose focus was stopping public-order crimes like gambling, narcotics, prostitution, and illegal sales of alcohol. Frank De Silva
Dr. Trevor Percival Frank de Silva (born 31 July 1935) was the 24th Inspector General of the Sri Lanka Police (IGP) (1993–1995). He obtained a BA (Hons) from the University of Ceylon, a LL.B from the University of Colombo and a PhD from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is also a graduate of the Police Staff College, Bramshill in the United Kingdom. He served as the Asian expert on the United Nations Committee on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice between 1986 and 1992. De Silva, was appointed IGP by President D. B. Wijetunga on 29 November 1993, succeeding Ernest Perera. De Silva was responsible for re-establishing the Special Branch in 1995, after it had been disbanded in 1970. Anuruddha Ratwatte
General Anuruddha Leuke Ratwatte (14 July 1938 – 24 November 2011), frequently referred to as Anuruddha Ratwatte, was a Sri Lankan soldier and politician. He was a Cabinet Minister and Deputy Minister of Defence. Early life Born in Kandy to the old Radala Ratwatte family, he was the sixth of nine children born to Harris Ratwatte Dissawa and Mallika Katugaha Kumarihamy. Weli Oya, ( ta, மணலாறு, translit=Maṇalāṟu) is a Sinhalese colony area in Mullaithivu District, Sri Lanka formerly known as Manal Aru. Weli Oya has been affected by the Sri Lankan civil war and government colonization programs. Weli Oya was traditionally known as Manal Aru before the launch of government Sinhala colonization programs and the 1984 Manal Aru massacres, where the Tamil population was progressively driven out. A body of running water moving to a lower level in a channel on land is called Manal Aru in Tamil. It is hemmed between Anuradhapura, Mullaitivu, Trincomalee and Vavunia Districts. General Rohan De Silva Daluwatte, WWV, RWP, RSP, VSV, USP (9 May 1941 – 27 August 2018) was a senior officer of the Sri Lanka Army. He served as Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and Chief of the Defence Staff. Following his retirement from the army, he served as Sri Lankan Ambassador to Brazil among other appointments. The major achievement during his tenure as Army Chief of Staff was the capture of the Jaffna peninsula during Operation Riviresa, under his command as Joint Operations Commander. Benjamin Lakdasa 'Lucky' Victor de Silva Kodituwakku (7 January 1941 – 27 August 2002) was Sri Lanka's 26th Inspector General of Police. Kodituwakku was born on 7 January 1941, the son of Benjamin and Brenda de Silva Kodituwakku. He received his primary school education at S.
