Who We Love
''Who We Love'' is an Irish coming-of-age drama film directed by Graham Cantwell and written by Cantwell and Katie McNeice. It is a feature-length adaptation of Cantwell's 2016 short film ''Lily''. It premiered at the 2021 Galway Film Fleadh. Cast Production Graham Cantwell's 2016 short film ''Lily'' screened at film festivals and received IFTA accolades. Cantwell returned to direct and write the feature version with Katie McNeice joining him as a writer. Cantwell also produced ''Who We Love'' alongside Edwina Forkin and Alan Fitzpatrick. The American duo the Ray Sisters did the cinematography for the film. Clara Harte, Dean Quinn, and Amy-Joyce Hastings reprised the leads from the short film. Paul Ronan, Aisling O'Neill, Lynette Callaghan also reprised their supporting roles. Venetia Bowe replaced Leah McNamara as Violet. Graham Cantwell
Graham Cantwell (born 25 March 1974) is an Irish film and television director. He is best known for directing feature film Anton which achieved a three-week domestic cinema release and was nominated for three Irish Film and Television Awards in 2009. His short film ''A Dublin Story'' was shortlisted for Academy Award Nomination in 2004 having picked up several film festival awards. In 2010 he directed a new television drama ''The Guards'' for TV3 in Ireland. Most recently he directed a romantic comedy set in the film industry in London, ''The Callback Queen'', which premiered at The Galway Film Fleadh in July 2013 and screened in the U.S. at The Jean Cocteau Cinema, owned and run by George R. The George is a gay bar and nightclub on South Great George's Street in the city centre of Dublin, Ireland. The Kerry Film Festival is an annual film festival that takes place in County Kerry, Republic of Ireland, during October / November. The Kerry Film Festival is funded by Kerry County Council, Fáilte Irelandthe Arts Councilas well as having corporate sponsorship. Amy-Joyce Hastings (born 24 September 1980) is an Irish actress who was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Film at the 2022 IFTA Film & Drama Awards for her performance in Who We Love. Early life and career Amy-Joyce Hastings was born in Ireland to parents Robert and Catríona Hastings. Taking a very early interest in acting she enrolled in drama classes at the Gaiety School of Acting when it opened in Dublin in the late 1980s.
