''Who the Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys?'' is the second EP by English rock band Arctic Monkeys, released on 24 April 2006 by Domino Recording Company. This is the band's final record to feature Andy Nicholson on bass, as he left the band a month after the EP's release. Background "The View from the Afternoon" was expected to have been the band's third single, following UK number ones " I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" and " When the Sun Goes Down", but the band announced in March 2006 that its next record would be a five-track EP, which thereby disqualified it from being listed in the UK Singles Chart and UK Albums Chart. "Despair in the Departure Lounge" was premiered at a gig in the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, although it was played by Alex Turner alone due to Andy Nicholson blowing his bass amplifier. Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002. Matt Helders
Matthew Helders (born 7 May 1986) is an English drummer, vocalist and songwriter. He is best known as a founding member of the indie rock band Arctic Monkeys, with whom he has recorded seven studio albums. In 2015, Helders collaborated with Iggy Pop and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme and Dean Fertita to record Pop's studio album, ''Post Pop Depression'' (2016). Jamie Cook
Jamie Robert Cook (born 8 July 1985) is an English guitarist and songwriter. He is best known as the guitarist and a founding member of the indie rock band Arctic Monkeys, with whom he has recorded seven studio albums. Arctic Monkeys Jamie Cook attended Ecclesfield Secondary School in Chapeltown, Sheffield. Originally a next door neighbour of fellow band member Alex Turner, Cook and the other band members picked up their respective instruments and formed the Arctic Monkeys in 2002. He is the son of an engineer. "The View from the Afternoon" is a song by Arctic Monkeys originally released as the opening track on the band's first album ''Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'' in January 2006. It was also the lead track on the ''Who the Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys?'' EP. This release had an accompanying video.
