Whites Creek is an Ozark stream in Douglas County, Missouri. It is a tributary of Hunter Creek. The headwaters are at an elevation of about 1250 feetAva, Missouri 7.5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle, USGS, 1982 and the mouth is at an elevation of 863 feet. Whites Creek begins as a south flowing stream on the south side of Table Rock Knob just southeast of Ava and flows south for a short distance before turning east. The stream runs parallel to Missouri Route 14 and is bridged where the road turns south. Hoffmeister Spring emerges from a bluff along the north side of the stream a few hundred yards east of the bridge at and an elevation of 892 feet. Whites Creek is an unincorporated community located near Nashville in the northern part of Davidson County, Tennessee. The community and nearby creek which travels north to south along US 431 were named after an early settler named White who was killed by hostile American Indians prior to the settlement of Fort Nashboro in 1778. The Whites Creek area has its own US Post Office, with the ZIP Code 37189. The historic Whites Creek District was established in 1780 and has some of the best preserved examples of the architectural and historical significance of this era in Middle Tennessee. Whites Creek (Annandale)
Whites Creek, formerly known as White's Creek, was once a natural waterway that was concreted to improve sanitation. The creek is now a heritagelisted artificial waterway located in the innerwest region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Course and features Sanitation was poor in the first 100 years of the new colony, and the waterways were contaminated. The waterway was concreted and became a Whites Creek Channel between 1898 and 1935, to cope with the runoff from the increasing amount of impermeable surfaces that.
