''White Eyes'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper Magic. It was released on March 18, 2003 through The New No Limit/Universal Records, marking his final album for the label. Recording sessions took place at Ghetto Bill's Place, Lil Jon's Studio, The Tracken Place in Hollywood, The Village Studios in Los Angeles, Piety Street Recording in New Orleans, and Dauphine Studios. Production was handled by Da Beat Boyz, Full Pack Music, Ham, Lil' Jon and Presidential Campaign, with Master P serving as executive producer. The album debuted at number 147 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 37 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts in the United States. Awood Johnson Jr. (August 16, 1975March 1, 2013), better known by his stage name Magic (or Mr. Magic), was an American rapper from New Orleans, best known for his stint with No Limit Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Early life Born and raised in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana, Awood Johnson first made his name in New Orleans' underground circuit performing in talent shows and in a local group. Anthony Jackson (born June 23, 1952) is an American bassist. Described as "one of the masters of the instrument", he has performed as a session musician and live artist. He is also credited with the development of the modern extended-range bass, six-string bass, which he refers to as an electric contrabass guitar. Biography Jackson played piano before starting guitar in his teens. When he turned to bass, he was inspired by James Jamerson and Jack Casady. Jackson worked as a session musician, in the Billy Paul band, and with Philadelphia International Records. Paulâs 1972 hit "Me and Mrs. Jones" was Jacksonâs first No. 1 record. Nigel Harrison (born 24 April 1951) is an English musician. Harrison spent several years as the bassist of the American rock band Blondie during the 1970s and 1980s. "One Way or Another" is a song by American rock band Blondie from their 1978 album ''Parallel Lines''.
