''Whispering Corridors'' (; also known as ''Ghost School'' and ''Ghost School Horror'') is a South Korean supernatural horror film series. The series uses an all-girls high school as the backdrop for each of its films. Every ''Whispering Corridors'' film features a different plot, characters and settings. Kim Tae-yong
Kim Tae-yong (born December 9, 1969) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. After his feature directorial debut '' Memento Mori'' (1999), he helmed the critically acclaimed ''Family Ties'' (2006), and the English-language remake '' Late Autumn'' (2010). Career Although he initially wanted to pursue writing, Kim Tae-yong eventually graduated from Yonsei University in 1994 with a major in Politics and Diplomacy. He first became involved in Korean cinema through a friend, who was an assistant director of an independent production. Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere that came with working on a set, Kim then enrolled at the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) in 1996. He met and became friends with fellow director Min Kyu-dong while at KAFA, where he and his classmates would work on short films as a part of the crew and doing lighting. A Blood Pledge
''A Blood Pledge'' (; also known as ''Whispering Corridors 5: A Blood Pledge'' and ''Suicide Pact'') is a K-Horror film, and the fifth installment of the ''Whispering Corridors'' series of South Korean horror films set in girls' high schools that began with 1998's film of the same name. Aside from the setting and overall themes, it is unrelated to the other films in the series. Plot The story begins with the pledge; Eun-Joo, So-Hee, Yoo-jin, and Eun-young pledge that they will die together that night. Eun-Joo jumps from the roof of her school, committing suicide. Her sister Jeong-Eun sees her jump. The next day in the school office, So-Hee admits that she was on the roof with Eun-Joo when she jumped. The three girls become paranoid about the death of Eun-Joo, and secrets about why each girl had a reason to jump-start to surface. So-Hee becomes depressed about the death, unlike the other two. Voice (film)
''Voice'' ( also known as ''Whispering Corridors 4: Voice'' and ''Voice Letter'') is a 2005 South Korean horror film, and the fourth installment of the ''Whispering Corridors'' film series. The film was the debut film for its three young actresses, as well as director Choi Ik-Hwan, who had served as an assistant director on the first film of the series. It was screened at the 2006 San Francisco Korean American Film Festival. Plot Young-eon (Kim Ok-bin), the top singer at an all-girls school, is murdered by a music sheet cutting her throat in the opening scene. The next day nobody can see or hear her except her friend Seon-min (Seo Ji-hye), who can only hear her. The two attempt to find out what happened to Young-eon. Seon-min begins speculating that the music teacher must have killed Young-eon. The mystery behind her death is slowly unraveled as Young-eon has flashbacks of life before her death. ''Wishing Stairs'' ( also known as ''Whispering Corridors 3: Wishing Stairs'') is a 2003 South Korean horror film. It is the third installment of the ''Whispering Corridors'' film series set in girls high schools, but, as with all films in the series, is unrelated to the others; apart from a song being sung in one scene that is a pivotal plot in ''Voice''. Plot Yun Jin-sung (Song Ji-hyo) from humble background and privileged Kim So-hee (Park Han-byul) are friends studying ballet at an all-girls art school. So-hee mainly dances to please her mother yet possesses natural talent and grace for the art, thus gains much favoritism from the faculty while Jin-sung has to catch up to her friend with greater effort.
