Whipped Cream (DJ)
Caroline Cecil, known professionally as WHIPPED CREAM, is a Canadian DJ and producer based on Vancouver Island. She is currently signed to Big Beat Records. She released her major label debut EP, ''Who Is Whipped Cream?'', in August 2020 on Big Beat. Early life and education Caroline Cecil was born in Toronto, Ontario. She and her family later moved to the Vancouver Island suburb of Nanaimo. She began ice skating at age two and was enrolled in professional figure skating lessons by age seven. She became a competitive figure skater at age eight and spent much of her youth traveling throughout Canada and the United States, competing in figure skating competitions. Her success at these events led to aspirations of joining the Canadian Olympic team. When she was 18, however, Cecil suffered a severe broken ankle while practicing triple toe loops. Finn Askew
Samuel Finn Valler Askew (born May 21, 2001) is a British musician from Wellington in south-west England. Finn cites U.S. hip-hop acts such as Juice WRLD and Lil Peep as music influences of his sound though he fell in love with music after uncovering his parents' CDs, a mixture of Nirvana, the Smiths, and the Beach Boys. Finn's music is described as an "indie sound, washed one moment in a rosy hue of pop and the next polished to a high, RnB sheen." Career Finn Askew's debut single "Roses" was created and recorded when he was 16. He got the beat from YouTube and used GarageBand and his £20 microphone to create it. "Roses" featured in a live stream on V Live from Taeyong (member of K-pop band NCT). Owsla (stylized in all caps) is an American record label and creative collective. It was founded by Skrillex, Tim Smith, Kathryn Frazier, and Clayton Blaha in 2011. Skrillex announced the label on August 17, 2011. The label's first release was Porter Robinson's ''Spitfire''. The name "Owsla" is a reference to Richard Adams' fantasy novel ''Watership Down'', in which it refers to the governing caste in a society of anthropomorphized rabbits. Sonny John Moore (born January 15, 1988), known professionally as Skrillex, is an American DJ and music producer. Growing up in Northeast Los Angeles and Northern California, he joined the post-hardcore band From First to Last as the lead singer in 2004, and recorded two studio albums with the band (''Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount'' [2004] and ''Heroine (From First to Last album), Heroine'' [2006]) before leaving to pursue a solo career in 2007. Salmo, British Columbia
Salmo is in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. The village municipality is mostly on the north side of Erie Creek at the confluence with the Salmo River. The place lies largely east of the junction of BC Highway 3 (about southeast of Castlegar), and BC Highway 6 (about south of Nelson, and north of the US border). Name origin Originally, the name was either Laprairie or Salmon City, derived from the initial name of the river that dated from around 1860. Prior to the downstream damming of the Columbia River from the 1930s, salmon frequented this tributary. In 1893, the settlement name became Salmon or Salmon Siding. Sasquatch! Music Festival was an annual music festival held at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, United States. It took place on Memorial Day weekend, running for three to four days. In 2018, it was announced that the festival was canceled indefinitely and would not return in 2019. School District 68 Nanaimo-Ladysmith is a school district on central Vancouver Island in British Columbia. This includes the major centres of Nanaimo and Ladysmith. Toe Loop Jump
The toe loop jump is the simplest jump in the sport of figure skating. It was invented in the 1920s by American professional figure skater Bruce Mapes. The toe loop is accomplished with a forward approach on the inside edge of the blade; the skater then switches to a backward-facing position before their takeoff, which is accomplished from the skater's right back outside edge and left toepick.
