"Where Are You Going" is the first single from Dave Matthews Band's album '' Busted Stuff''. Dave Matthews Band (also known by the initials DMB) is an American rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991. The band's founding members were singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer and backing vocalist Carter Beauford, violinist and backing vocalist Boyd Tinsley, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore. ''The Lillywhite Sessions'' (tLWS) is a collection of songs recorded by Dave Matthews Band in 1999 and 2000 and produced by Steve Lillywhite. The songs, recorded by the band as a follow-up to their 1998 album '' Before These Crowded Streets'', were ultimately scrapped by the band's label. Upon being forced by the label to abandon the album-in-progress, Dave Matthews was assigned to work with producer Glen Ballard who, in association with Matthews, wrote the album ''Everyday'' in just ten days. This contrasted with the band's prior style of writing, which included significant collaboration between the band members in the studio. The recordings later emerged on the Internet shortly after the release of ''Everyday,'' and created controversy among fans as well as the music industry, which was early in its campaign to curb illegal file downloads. ''Flash of Genius'' is a 2008 American biographical drama film directed by Marc Abraham. Philip Railsback wrote the screenplay based on a 1993 ''New Yorker'' article by John Seabrook. The story focuses on Robert Kearns (played by Greg Kinnear) and his legal battle against the Ford Motor Company after they developed an intermittent windshield wiper based on ideas the inventor had patented. The film's title comes from the phrase "flash of genius" (like "stroke of genius"), which is patent law terminology that was in effect from 1941 to 1952, although Kearns's patent was filed in 1964; it held that the ''inventive act'' must come into the mind of an inventor as a kind of epiphany, and not as the result of tinkering. ''Busted Stuff'' is the fifth studio album by Dave Matthews Band, released on July 16, 2002 by RCA Records. Produced by Stephen Harris, it was the band's second album not to feature longtime producer Steve Lillywhite. Nine of the album's eleven tracks are re-recorded versions of songs that first appeared on an album the band had abandoned in 2000, a project that had come to be known as ''The Lillywhite Sessions''; "Where Are You Going"—the first single from ''Busted Stuff''—and "You Never Know" were not from ''The Lillywhite Sessions''. Recording Work on the album began in January 2002 at Record Plant Studios in Sausalito, California. The band had been road testing much of the material from the abandoned Steve Lillywhite sessions and felt that these songs deserved a spot on their followup to ''Everyday''. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States.
