"Whenever You Come Around" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Vince Gill. It was released in April 1994 as the first single from the album ''When Love Finds You''. The song reached number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. It was written by Gill and Pete Wasner. The song was covered by Willie Nelson in 2014 for his '' Band of Brothers'' album. Critical reception Deborah Evans Price, of ''Billboard'' magazine reviewed the song favorably saying that the song is "beautifully written and impeccably performed." Vincent Grant Gill (born April 12, 1957) is an American country music singer, songwriter and musician. Carlos Vega (December 7, 1956 – April 7, 1998) was a Cuban-born Los Angeles-based session drummer best known for his performances with James Taylor. As a part of the L.A. studio scene from the late 1970s through the 1990s, Vega contributed to a wide variety of music during the rise and popularity of the California singer-songwriter movement. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000.
