Azerbaijan participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "When the Music Dies" written by Anders Bagge, Sandra Bjurman, Stefan Örn and Johan Kronlund. The song was performed by Sabina Babayeva. In addition to participating in the contest, the Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV) also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the competition in 2011 with the song " Running Scared" performed by Ell and Nikki. The Azerbaijani Eurovision entrant for the 2012 contest in Baku was selected through ''Milli Seçim Turu 2012'', organised by İTV. Sabina Babayeva
Sabina Babayeva ( az, Səbinə Babayeva; born 2 December 1979, Baku) is an Azerbaijani singer. She represented Azerbaijan in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, held in Baku, Azerbaijan on 26 May 2012, with the song "When the Music Dies", as the 13th act, and finished 4th overall. Leyla Mutallim qizi Guliyeva (née Aliyeva, Azerbaijani: ''Leyla Mütəllim qızı Quliyeva (Əliyeva)'', born 1986) is an Azerbaijani television presenter. Safura Alizadeh
Safura Alizadeh Aliyev (born 20 September 1992) is an Azerbaijani pop singer. In 2009, she became the winner of the national contest "Pop Idol" (season 8). In 2010, Safura took part in the Eurovision Song Contest, where she brought Azerbaijan on 5th place in the final, with the song ''Drip Drop'', where she only was 17 years old. The Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music (Azeri: ''Hacıbəyov adına Bakı Musiqi Akademiyası'') is a music school in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was established in 1920 in Baku and was previously known as the Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Conservatoire.
