Jack Harvey (actor And Director)
Jack Harvey (born John Joseph Harvey; September 16, 1881 – November 9, 1954) was an American film actor, director and screenwriter, noted for his short films of the silent period. Among his directed films are '' A Dog's Love'' (1914) (the first of many collaborations with Shep, a well-trained Collie of the Thanhouser Company), ''When Fate Rebelled'' (1915), '' Fairy Fern Seed'' (1915), '' Kaiser's Finish'' (1918) and his last film ''No Babies Wanted'' (1928), accredited as John J. Harvey. He continued to act, but most of his roles after the 1920s were very minor and uncredited in films such as ''Cardinal Richelieu'' (1935) and ''Anchors Aweigh'' (1945). He also continued to write for films until his death in 1954, the last of which was '' City Beneath the Sea'' (1953). Boyd Marshall
Boyd Marshall (June 22, 1884 – November 10, 1950) was an American actor of the stage and screen during the early decades of the 20th century. Born in Ohio in 1884, he moved to New York to pursue a career in acting. He began on the stage and in vaudeville, before entering the film industry in 1913. He had a brief film career, lasting until 1917, before he returned to the stage. Early life The son of Thomas J. and Agnes Marshall, Boyd Marshall was born on June 22, 1884, in Port Clinton, Ohio. His father was an attorney, but after his father's death in 1895 his mother moved to their large fruit farm in Nina community in Carroll Township, Ottawa County, Ohio west of Port Clinton. It was there where he spent his teenage years. He attended the University of Michigan before deciding to become as a performer. Muriel Ostriche (born Muriel Henrietta Oestrich, May 24, 1896 – May 3, 1989) was an American silent film actress. Following tryouts with the Biograph and Pathe studios, Ostriche signed with Eclair for $5 per day. After a year and a half with Eclair, she joined Reliance for a higher salary. Following that experienced, she was signed by the Thanhouser Company based in New Rochelle, New York, and starred in 134 films in her career. Ostriche told author Michael G.
