When All Is Said
''When All Is Said'' is a remastered best of compilation album by the Swedish death metal band Edge of Sanity, released by Black Mark Production on October 2, 2006. On the promotional poster released by Black Mark Production, it reads: "Very remastered by Dan Swanö". On the album cover are mini-pictures of the album covers from all their major releases. Although the two "Crimson" records are featured on a second compact disc, they were remixed and slightly edited in order to be placed together on the same disc, explaining the shortened run time of the two songs. The album's title comes from the track of the same name on the band's second studio release, '' Unorthodox'', which is not included in the compilation. Edge Of Sanity
Edge of Sanity was a Swedish death metal band that, alongside Opeth, is commonly regarded as being the first to fuse extreme metal styles like death and black metal with progressive rock. The group was founded by Dan Swanö in 1989 and ended in 2003. History Edge of Sanity began as a death metal band with their debut release '' Nothing but Death Remains''. The band's second release, '' Unorthodox'', with tracks like "Enigma" and "When All Is Said", showed Edge of Sanity branching out from some of the genre's conventions. Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). Dan-Erland Swanö (born 10 March 1973), also known as Dan "The Man" Swanö, is a Swedish musician and record producer who is currently the vocalist, guitarist, ex-bassist and ex-drummer for the band Nightingale, lately vocalist, keyboardist and drummer for the band Witherscape, as well as the owner of Unisound, but he achieved fame as the vocalist and songwriter of progressive death metal band Edge of Sanity. As a multi-instrumentalist he is regarded as influential in the underground melodic death metal, black metal, progressive metal, death metal, progressive rock, and power metal communities. ''Crimson II'' is the eighth and final full-length studio album by Swedish death metal band Edge of Sanity and is a continuation of the storyline first heard on the album '' Crimson'' (1996). It is the only Edge of Sanity release that does not feature original members Andreas Axelsson, Sami Nerberg, Anders Lindberg and Benny Larsson. It also doesn't feature Opeth frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt, who was the special guest on Crimson 'I'. Instead, it features contributions from guest musicians Mike Wead, Jonas Granvik, and brothers Roger and Simon Johannson.
