"What You Know" is a song by Northern Irish band Two Door Cinema Club from their debut studio album, ''Tourist History'' (2010). It was released on 7 February 2011 as the album's fifth and final single. The song was written by Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird, and Sam Halliday and was produced by Eliot James. The song peaked at number 64 on the UK Singles Chart. "What You Know" was used for the 2012 Microsoft Outlook.com online adverts. Music video The music video for "What You Know" premiered on 11 January 2011. The video was directed by Lope Serrano of the Barcelona-based creative collective and directors known as ''Canada'' and features female Spanish dancers. Two Door Cinema Club are a band from Bangor, County Down, Bangor, Northern Ireland. The band formed in 2007 and is composed of three members: Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths), Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (bass, synths, backing vocals). The band's debut album, ''Tourist History'', was released on 1 March 2010 by French independent record label Kitsuné Music. ''Tourist History'' is the debut studio album by Northern Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club, released on 17 February 2010 by Kitsuné. The album is named for the reputation of the band's hometown, Bangor, as a tourist attraction. ''Tourist History'' won the Choice Music Prize for the 2010 Irish Album of the Year. The band said it was the first award they had ever won and donated the €10,000 prize money to charity. Recording The band recorded the album at Eastcote Studios in London with Eliot James in July 2009, and was based in a studio adjacent to Duran Duran. The album was mixed at Phillipe Zdar's newly built studio, Motorbass, in Paris.
