What You Don't Know (Jon Randall Album)
''What You Don't Know'' is the debut studio album released by country music artist Jon Randall and his only album released on the RCA Nashville label. Because of restructuring within the record company, this album received minimal promotion. His proposed next album, entitled ''Great Day to Be Alive'', was shelved for the same reasons, although its title track was later a Top 5 hit for Travis Tritt in 2001. "I Came Straight to You" was previously recorded by Kevin Welch in 1989 and released as a single from his self-titled debut album, and would later be covered by Patty Loveless. "This Heart" was previously a single for Sweethearts of the Rodeo in 1989. "Tennessee Blues" is a cover of a Bobby Charles song. The last track, "Just Like You", was written by Randall and is credited to his full name. Jon Randall
Jon Randall Stewart (born February 17, 1969) is an American producer, songwriter, and musician. His career began as a guitarist for Emmylou Harris' Nash Ramblers with whom he won his first Grammy for their ''Live at the Ryman'' album in 1992. Between 1995 and 2005 Randall released three solo albums, '' What You Don't Know'', '' Willin''' and ''Walking Among the Living''. He recorded a fourth album, '' Cold Coffee Morning'', which was not released. As a songwriter, Randall has had many notable cuts including "Whiskey Lullaby" recorded by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss which won the 2005 CMA Song of the Year Award, and “ Tin Man” by Miranda Lambert which won the 2018 ACM Song of the Year Award. Carl Jackson
Carl Eugene Jackson (born September 18, 1953) is an American country and bluegrass musician. Jackson's first Grammy was awarded in 1992 for his duet album with John Starling titled "Spring Training." In 2003 Jackson produced the Grammy Award-winning CD titled '' Livin', Lovin', Losin': Songs of the Louvin Brothers'' – a tribute to Ira and Charlie Louvin. He also recorded one of the songs on the CD, a collection of duets featuring such artists as James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, and others. Paul Franklin (musician)
Paul V. Franklin (born May 31, 1954) is an American multi-instrumentalist, known mainly for his work as a steel guitarist. He began his career in the 1970s as a member of Barbara Mandrell's road band; in addition he toured with Vince Gill, Mel Tillis, Jerry Reed and Dire Straits. Dobro
Dobro is an American brand of resonator guitars, currently owned by Gibson and manufactured by its subsidiary Epiphone. The term "dobro" is also used as a generic term for any wood-bodied, single-cone resonator guitar. The Dobro was originally a guitar manufacturing company founded by the Dopyera brothers with the name "Dobro Manufacturing Company". John Cowan
John Cowan (born August 24, 1953) is an American soul music and progressive bluegrass vocalist and bass guitar player. He was the lead vocalist and bass player for the New Grass Revival. Cowan became the band's bassist in 1972 after the departure of original bassist Ebo Walker and was noted as being the only member of New Grass Revival not to come from a bluegrass background.
