"What Are You Up To" (; stylized "What are you up to") is a song by South Korean singer Kang Daniel. It was released on July 25, 2019 by Konnect Entertainment and distributed by Sony Music Korea. The song serves as the lead single from his debut EP '' Color on Me'' with lyrics co-written by Kang and resulted in his first music show win as a soloist on KBS2's ''Music Bank'' on August 9, 2019. Background Shortly after Kang established his one-man agency Konnect Entertainment, Konnect confirmed on June 27 Kang finished recording songs for his debut EP and would finalize the title song and complete promotional content and choreography in preparation for a solo debut in late July. Kang Daniel (; commonly stylized as KANGDANIEL; born Kang Eui-geon []; December 10, 1996) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and businessman who rose to fame in early 2017 as the first-place winner of the Produce 101 Season 2, second season of reality competition series ''Produce 101''. He is a former member of the show's resulting boy group Wanna One and is currently active as a solo artist. Following the end of Wanna One's activities as a group, Kang took a six-month hiatus from the entertainment industry and took over management of his career. In mid-2019, he released his solo debut extended play (EP), '' Color on Me'', which was a commercial success that topped South Korea's Gaon Album Chart. The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart launched in South Korea by ''Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea on August 25, 2011. The chart was based on digital sales via leading websites, as well as downloads from mobile service sites using an industry-standard formula and the most credible music data sources within South Korea. The chart was first discontinued in 2014, as of the July 16 issue, and reestablished three years later in December 2017—the first new issue published was for the period dated May 29–June 4, 2017.
