Weyfest 2022 Beekeepers Stage - Scouting For Girls
Weyfest is an annual music festival held at the Rural Life Centre, Tilford, Rural Life Centre in Tilford, Surrey, England. It usually occurs around mid/end of August. Music is performed from the 3 outdoor stages and an indoor stage. Crafts, stalls, other entertainment and the exhibits of the Rural Life Centre, Tilford, Rural Life Centre as well as a campsite. Weyfest has earned a good reputation for abundant clean toilets, a large variety of fairly priced high quality food & reasonable bar prices and a safe and friendly family environment. The festival also offers pitches for all types of camping, tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes, and even Electric Hook Up (EHU) if required. It has been voted one of the UK's top festivals by Planet Rock (radio station) listeners and the Daily Telegraph. Rockpile
Rockpile was a British rock and roll band of the late 1970s and early 1980s, noted for their strong pub rock, rockabilly and power pop influences, and as a foundational influence on new wave. The band consisted of Dave Edmunds (vocals, guitar), Nick Lowe (vocals, bass guitar), Billy Bremner (vocals, guitar) and Terry Williams (drums). Rockpile recorded almost enough material for five studio albums, though only one (''Seconds of Pleasure'') was released under the Rockpile banner. Three other albums (''Tracks on Wax 4'', ''Repeat When Necessary'', and '' Twangin...'') were released as Dave Edmunds solo albums, and one more ('' Labour of Lust'') was released as a Nick Lowe solo album. Ade Edmondson
Adrian Charles Edmondson (born 24 January 1957) is an English actor, comedian, musician, writer and television presenter. He was part of the alternative comedy boom in the early 1980s and had roles in the television series '' The Young Ones'' (1982–1984) and ''Bottom'' (1991–1995), which he wrote together with his collaborator Rik Mayall. Edmondson also appeared in '' The Comic Strip Presents...'' series of films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. For one episode of this he created the spoof heavy metal band Bad News, and for another he played his nihilistic alter-ego Eddie Monsoon, an offensive South African television star. The Christians are a musical ensemble from Liverpool, England. They had the highest selling debut album of any artist at Island Records and international chart hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Focus (band)
Focus is a Dutch progressive rock band formed in Amsterdam in 1969 by keyboardist, vocalist, and flutist Thijs van Leer, drummer Hans Cleuver, bassist Martijn Dresden, and guitarist Jan Akkerman. The Zombies
The Zombies are an English rock band formed in the early 1960s in St Albans and led by keyboardist and vocalist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone. The group had a British and American hit in 1964 with "She's Not There". In the US, two further singles—"Tell Her No" in 1965 and "Time of the Season" in 1968—were also successful. Nine Below Zero
Nine Below Zero are an English blues band, who have a cult following throughout Europe. They became popular during the period 1980–1982 and are still performing currently throughout the UK, Scandinavia and Europe as of 2022. Career The band was originally formed in South London in 1977 by guitarist and lead vocalist Dennis Greaves. He was joined by bassist Peter Clark, Kenny Bradley on drums, and vocalist and harmonica player Mark Feltham. They were originally named 'Stan's Blues Band' and for the next two years they played in London clubs. In 1979, while playing at The Thomas A'Beckett pub in the Old Kent Road they accepted an offer from former musician Mickey Modern to manage them. Modern persuaded the band to change their name. The Stranglers
The Stranglers are an English rock band who emerged via the punk rock scene. Scoring 23 UK top 40 singles and 19 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning five decades, the Stranglers are one of the longest-surviving bands to have originated in the UK punk scene. Formed as the Guildford Stranglers in Guildford, Surrey, in early 1974, they originally built a following within the mid-1970s pub rock scene.
