Weybourne, Surrey
Weybourne is a small village in Surrey, England. It lies on the outskirts of Farnham, Surrey and borders onto Aldershot, Hampshire. Geography Weybourne lies to the northeast of Farnham, bordering the villages of Hale, Heath End and Badshot Lea as well as the town of Aldershot to the north. The village centres around the crossroads of Weybourne Road (the B3007) and Upper and Lower Weybourne Lane. Its northern extent is demarcated by the Blackwater River, the ancient border of Surrey and Hampshire. The source of this river is within the Rowhill Copse Nature Reserve which can be accessed via a number of points from Weybourne. To the east, the village borders Badshot Lea and is bounded by the train line from Aldershot to Farnham. Badshot Lea
Badshot Lea is a small village in Surrey, England, and close to Aldershot. Badshot Lea has access in either direction to the A31 and A331 and is connected to railway stations in the nearby towns with regular bus services. The village is part of the Blackwater Valley or Aldershot Urban Area, the thirtieth largest conurbation in the UK. Badshot Lea's boundaries are four bridges—three western railway bridges and Pea Bridge over the uppermost part of the River Blackwater— these inspired a logo for the village and the football team who play in the larger neighbouring village of Ash. Jessie Margaret Matthews (11 March 1907 – 19 August 1981) was an English actress, dancer and singer of the 1920s and 1930s, whose career continued into the post-war period.
