IAI Westwind
The IAI Westwind is a business jet initially produced by Aero Commander as the 1121 Jet Commander. Powered by twin GE CJ610 turbojets, it first flew on January 27, 1963, and received its type certification on November 4, 1964, before the first delivery. The program was bought by Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) in 1968, which stretched it slightly into the 1123 Westwind, and then re-engined it with Garrett TFE731 turbofans into the 1124 Westwind. The MTOW aircraft can carry up to 8 or 10 passengers, and 442 were produced until 1987. West Wind Aviation
West Wind Aviation Limited Partnership was a Saskatchewan based airline. Destinations Under its ExpressAir banner, West Wind formerly offered scheduled service between Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Service in northern Saskatchewan and Nunavut were provided under the Pronto Airways banner. In 2015 West Wind Aviation absorbed Osprey Wings which was established in 1979. Its main commercial rival was Prince Albert-based Transwest Air which became a subsidiary of West Wind Aviation July 1, 2016, and all scheduled flights are operated by Transwest. In January 2021, it was announced West Wind Aviation will be merged with Transwest Air and renamed ''Rise Air''. The latest Honduran presidential aircraft were an Embraer Legacy 600 jet, donated by the Taiwanese Government; and a Bell 412 helicopter. History Since its first purchase of an IAI 1123 Westwind in 1976, the HAF Westwinds have transported the most senior government officials, both civilian and military, to many countries. The airplanes have had 3 color schemes in its history (all white in the 70s, White and Blue in the 80s, and Silver and Blue Metallic currently). Westwind (band)
Westwind is a musical project from the French post-industrial scene, created by Kris G. (pseudonym of Christophe Gales). It mixes influences from musics such as Martial industrial, Post-industrial, Dark ambient, Neofolk and Neoclassical music. Westwind started in 1999 by releasing self-produced and handmade CD-R's on its own label Black Sun Rising, which was dissolved in 2002. In 2003 Kris G. created the new label Steelwork Maschine together with Serge Usson of the bands Neon Rain and Storm Of Capricorn. Djalu Gurruwiwi, also written Djalu ( – 12 May 2022), was a Yolngu man from Arnhem Land in northern Australia, known worldwide for his skill as a player, maker and spiritual keeper of the yiḏaki (didgeridoo). He was also a respected artist, with works in several galleries. Life Gurruwiwi was born at the mission station on Wirriku Island (also known as Jirgarri), one of the smaller islands in the Wessel Islands group. He has also self-reported being born on Milingimbi Island (also known as Yurruwi, in the Crocodile Islands), with both of these island groups being off Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, Australia. His date of birth is uncertain (the missionaries recorded his and two brothers as having the same birthdate – officially 1 January 1930), estimated 1940 or probably earlier.
