Westville Boys' High School
Westville Boys' High School, often referred to as WBHS or "boys high", is a semi-private high school for boys located in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Early history The year 2022 marks the 67th anniversary of WBHS as a high school. The roots of the school can be traced back to 1861, when German immigrant farmers operated a school from a nine by four metre wattle-and-daub structure sited on the main Durban-to- Pietermaritzburg road. They were the first large group of squatters to populate the area, named after Sir Martin West, the first Lieutenant Governor of Natal. The next recorded date of a school in Westville was in March 1935 when the Westville Kindergarten School, a private farm school, first opened its doors. Westville, KwaZulu-Natal
Westville is an area in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and is just west and inland of Durban. It was a formerly independent town however it became part of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality in 2002. Westville is situated 10 km inland from the Durban CBD. The climate is subtropical; Westville experiences mild, dry winters, and hot, humid summers with frequent later afternoon downpours. Westville is also central to a few townships, namely Cato Manor, Clermont and Chesterville. History The settlement began in 1847 as the farm Westville (named in honour of Martin West, the first British lieutenant-governor of what was then the province of Natal). Cameron Delport
Cameron Scott Delport (born 12 May 1989) is a British-South African professional cricketer who plays in Twenty20 league tournaments. He was educated at Westville High School. He is a left-hand opening batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. Delport also played for the Lahore Qalandars during the first edition of Pakistan Super League. He scored 227 runs at the average of 32.42 with the highest total of 78. He was included in the KwaZulu-Natal cricket team for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup. 2007 Rugby World Cup
The 2007 Rugby World Cup was the sixth Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1987. The 2019 Rugby World Cup was the ninth edition of the Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's rugby union teams. Life University is a private university focused on training chiropractors and located in Marietta, Georgia, USA. It was established in 1974 by a chiropractor, Sid E. Williams. History The university was founded in 1974 by Williams as "Life Chiropractic College" on the site of a placer gold mine, next to Southern Technical Institute (later Southern Polytechnic State University and now Kennesaw State University - Marietta Campus). 22 students attended the first classes in January 1975. Shaun Davies (born June 21, 1989) is a current assistant coach of the Utah Warriors of Major League Rugby (MLR) and former rugby union player who played as a scrum-half. He played professionally for the Glendale Raptors in Major League Rugby (MLR) and previously for the Ohio Aviators in the short-lived PRO Rugby. Oscar Chalupsky
Oscar Chalupsky (born 1 March 1963) is a South African paddler. He was South Africa's team captain at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona where he competed in K-4 1000 m event, reaching the semi-finals. He is also a 12-time World Surfski Champion - his latest win (2012) coming at the age of 49, 29 years after his first win. He attended Westville Boys' High School in Durban, South Africa. In 1979 he became the youngest ever South African to represent his country in life-saving. In his final year at school, 1980, he represented Natal at Craven Week Rugby, received South African colours for water polo and life-saving, and became the first person ever to win both the junior and senior men's Iron Man titles at the South African Surf Lifesaving Championships. Mickey Arthur
John Michael Arthur (born 17 May 1968) is a South African-Australian cricket coach, commentator and former cricketer, who played in South African domestic cricket from 1986 to 2001. He has served as the head coach of the Derbyshire County Cricket Club since November 2021.
