Westmount Golf And Country Club
The Westmount Golf and Country Club is a private sports and country club located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Its grounds span the municipal boundary with Waterloo. The club features golf, curling and tennis facilities. The club was founded in 1929 by members of the Grand River Golf Club. The club was officially opened in 1931, and its golf course architect was Stanley Thompson. The curling facility was opened in 1963 and a tennis facility in 1977. Golf Major golf tournaments held at the Westmount have included the Canadian Open Golf Championship in 1957, the Canadian Ladies Open and Closed Championship in 1965, the Canadian Amateur Golf Championship in 1969, the Labatt's International Golf Classic for the C.P.G.A. in 1981, and the 1990 du Maurier Classic. The 2007 Forbes Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held November 11–18, 2006 at the Westmount Golf and Country Club in Kitchener, Ontario. New Brunswick would win the event, only the province's second Mixed title. They were skipped by Terry Odishaw who defeated Quebec in the final. Matthew Hall (born July 10, 1997 in Kitchener, Ontario) is a Canadian curler. He currently plays second on Team Rylan Kleiter. He was a member of the 2019 World Junior Curling Championships gold medallist team. Career Juniors In 2013, Hall and his rink of Phil Malvar, Mackenzie Reid and Cody McGhee won the Ontario Bantam Boys Championship. The team went on to represent Ontario at the 2015 Canada Games, where they picked up a silver medal. The following season, Hall joined the Doug Kee junior team at second. The team won the Ontario Junior Championships and represented Ontario at the 2016 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they finished with a 5–5 record. Mark Kean
Mark Kean (born June 22, 1988 in Innerkip, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Woodstock, Ontario. He currently skips his own team out of Ottawa. Career Kean's junior career involved winning the provincial junior mixed title in 2009. Kean made a quick transition to men's curling winning the provincial Colts trophy in 2010 and in 2011 playing in his first provincial tournament. At the 2011 provincial championship, his rink finished with a 3-7 record. As preparation for the 2011 provincial, the Kean rink played in their first Grand Slam of Curling event, at the 2011 BDO Canadian Open of Curling, where they went winless (0-5). Margot Flemming
Margot Flemming (born December 9, 1993) is a Canadian curler from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. She currently plays third on Team Kerry Galusha. Career While in juniors, Flemming played third for Kendall Haymes. Despite not winning a provincial junior title, the team did win the U18 Ontario Curling Championships in 2010 with second Cassie Savage and lead Megan Arnold. Flemming and her team skipped by Shannon Jay qualified for the 2015 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts by winning their regional qualifier. At the provincial championship, the team finished in ninth place with a 3–6 round robin record. The following season, Flemming left the Jay rink and joined Team Kerry Lackie.
