Westchester Flames is an American soccer team based in New Rochelle, New York, United States. Founded in 1999, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid. The team plays its home games at City Park Stadium, where they have played since 2001. The team's colors are blue and white. The team also fields a team in the USL’s Super-20 League, a league for players 17 to 20 years of age run under the United Soccer Leagues umbrella. History The team had your first season in 1999, when they finished with a respectable 7–9 record, under former New York Cosmos superstar Vladislav Bogicevic. Dwight Barnett (born 1 March 1982 in St. Andrew) is a Jamaican footballer who currently plays for the Tampa Marauders of the National Premier Soccer League. Career Youth and College Barnett played two years of college soccer at Herkimer County Community College, captaining the Generals to a 2005 NJCAA Division III National Championship. Jhonny Alexandre Arteaga (born 24 November 1986) is a Colombian former footballer and current football coach. Career Youth and College Arteaga grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, where he attended Westhill High School before playing college soccer at Dominican College (New York). Andre Ubong Akpan (born December 9, 1987) is an American former soccer player who most recently played for New England Revolution in Major League Soccer. John Pappas (soccer)
John C. Pappas (1906–1972) was a Greek-American jurist and businessman. Early life Pappas was born in Filiatra, Greece. In 1911, Pappas immigrated to the United States with his family. He spent his early years in Somerville, Massachusetts, where he worked part-time in his father's store. After graduating from Somerville High School, Pappas attended Boston College and Boston University's College of Business Administration before transferring to Boston University School of Law.
