West Texas State Buffaloes Football
The West Texas A&M Buffaloes football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the West Texas A&M University located in the U.S. state of Texas. The team competes in Division II and are members of the Lone Star Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1910. Since 2019, the Buffaloes have played their home games at the 8,500 seat on-campus Buffalo Stadium. The team formerly played at the 20,000 seat Kimbrough Memorial Stadium. They are coached by Josh Lynn. Bryan Braman
Bryan Allan Braman (born May 4, 1987) is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons with the Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints. He was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football for West Texas A&M University after transferring from Long Beach City College. Braman played one season at the University of Idaho out of high school before LBCC. Professional career Houston Texans Braman became a fan favorite on the Texans' special teams unit during the 2011 season. Jesse Powell
Jesse Powell (September 12, 1971 – September 13, 2022) was an American R&B and soul singer. Discovered by Louil Silas Jr., Powell was best known for his hit "You", which peaked at No. 2 on the R&B chart and No. 10 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Powell released four albums and was the older brother of fellow contemporary R&B singers Trina & Tamara. Powell was credited with a four-octave vocal range. He was a Grammy nominee. Mercury Morris
Eugene Edward "Mercury" Morris (born January 5, 1947) is a former American football running back and kick returner. He played for seven years, primarily for the Miami Dolphins, in the American Football League (AFL) as a rookie in 1969, then in the American Football Conference (AFC) following the merger with the National Football League (NFL). Morris played in three Super Bowls, winning twice, and was selected to three Pro Bowls. In 1982, Morris was convicted of felony drug trafficking charges.
