West Side Airlines Terminal
The West Side Airlines Terminal was one of three air terminals in Midtown Manhattan. Located at the southeast corner of Tenth Avenue and West 42nd Street, the terminal operated from 1955 to 1972 and served as a location where passengers could purchase tickets and check baggage before boarding buses that would transport them Newark Airport. It was later repurposed to accommodate other uses before being demolished to make way for a 63-story mixed-use building, MiMA, that opened in 2011. Dyer Avenue is a short, north-south thoroughfare in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, located between Ninth Avenue and Tenth Avenue. It is primarily used by traffic exiting the Lincoln Tunnel. Dyer Avenue runs between 30th Street and 42nd Street but functions as three distinct sections due to its connections with the south and center tubes of the Lincoln Tunnel. The southernmost section, between 30th and 31st Streets, leads to and from the Lincoln Tunnel Expressway. Hudson Park and Boulevard is a greenway and boulevard in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan in New York City, being built as part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project. It lies between 10th and 11th Avenues. The park, officially called Bella Abzug Park, is located in the median of the boulevard, which consists of two one-way roads that run parallel to each other. When complete, it will be in area, six blocks long, and run north–south between 33rd and 39th Streets. The boulevard will be in the center of the park when complete. Pier 57
Pier 57 is a long pier located in the Hudson River on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. Opened in December 1954, it sits at the end of West 15th Street on Eleventh Avenue (West Side Highway), just south of the Chelsea Piers sports complex. It underwent renovations starting in the early 2010s. Design Consisting of two stories above the waterline, the pier also has a concrete basement resting on the riverbed, and an Art Deco-style metal enclosure at the west end with stainless-steel signage reading "MARINE & AVIATION" and displaying the identifying designation "PIER 57". The headhouse at the east end of the pier is steel-framed with a brick exterior, bearing similar signage.
