West Hampstead Tube Station
West Hampstead is a London Underground station in West Hampstead. It is located on West End Lane between Broadhurst Gardens and Blackburn Road and is situated in Travelcard Zone 2. It is on the Jubilee line between Kilburn and Finchley Road stations. It is from West Hampstead station on the London Overground North London line and from West Hampstead Thameslink station. Metropolitan line trains also pass through the station, but do not usually stop. History The station was opened on 30 June 1879 by the Metropolitan Railway (now the Metropolitan line) when it extended its tracks from Swiss Cottage. The station acted as the temporary terminus of the branch until it was further extended to Willesden Green on 24 November that year. Bakerloo Line
The Bakerloo line () is a London Underground line that goes from in suburban north-west London to in south London, via the West End. London Buses Route 139
London Buses route 139 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Golders Green and Waterloo station, it is operated by Metroline. Route 139 has a relatively long history at Metroline, however wasn't always based out of Cricklewood under their tenure. The route started operation in 1992 running out of a now closed garage in Chalk Farm, running between Trafalgar Square and West Hampstead, major change didn't come again until 2003 when the route was extended to Waterloo. The route was also moved into its long term home of Cricklewood (W) in 2002. 2017 was when the biggest change arguably happened to the route, with an extension to Golders Green, where route 139 currently orogins from to give the area a link south of Oxford Circus following the rerouting of route 13 to Victoria. The North and West London Light Railway (NWLLR), formerly known as the ''Brent Cross Railway'', was a proposal for a light rail system in North and West London in the UK. It was put forward by the London group of the Campaign for Better Transport and by the Coalition for a Sustainable Brent Cross Cricklewood. The proposal, published in 2008, envisaged a rapid transit network using existing or abandoned railway corridors and would have been similar to the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).
