German Olympic Sports Confederation
The German Olympic Sports Confederation (german: Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund or DOSB) was founded on 20 May 2006 by a merger of the ''Deutscher Sportbund'' (DSB), and the ''Nationales Olympisches Komitee für Deutschland'' (NOK) which dates back to 1895, the year it was founded and recognized as NOC by the IOC. Matthias Behr
Matthias Behr (born 1 April 1955 in Tauberbischofsheim, Baden-Württemberg) is a former German foil fencer. He won a gold medal and three silvers at three Olympic Games. Biography Matthias Behr attended the Kaufmännische Schule Tauberbischofsheim''75 Jahre Kaufmännische Schule Tauberbischofsheim'', StieberDruck GmbH, 113 Seiten, TBB 1997, S.49 and fought for the Fencing-Club Tauberbischofsheim. Matthias Behr is married to the former foil fencer Zita Funkenhauser. Ingeborg "Inge" Helten (born 31 December 1950) is a former athlete from West Germany, who competed mainly in the 100 metres. She was born in Westum, Sinzig, Rhineland-Palatinate. Biography She won her first international Gold medal at the 1971 European Athletics Championships as a member of the 4 × 100 m relay team, where she placed 4th in the 100 metre final. She took a silver as the anchor of the 4 × 100 m relay squad in the 1974 European Championships in Rome. Guido Kratschmer
Guido Kratschmer (; born 10 January 1953 in Klotzenhof, West Germany) is a retired West German decathlete. His sports club was the USC Mainz. Kratschmer competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where he won the silver medal in the men's decathlon event. He could not participate at the 1980 Summer Olympics because of the boycott. In 1980, Kratschmer broke the world record held by Daley Thompson, but in 1982, Kratschmer's mark was in turn topped by Thompson.
