WestCity Waitakere is a major regional Shopping mall, shopping centre located in Henderson, New Zealand, Henderson, a suburb in Auckland, New Zealand. It is west of the Auckland CBD, and is immediately adjacent to The Boundary (shopping centre), The Boundary. The centre has a current catchment area of 174,340 persons, and annual turnover at the centre for 2006 was $161.10 million New Zealand dollar, NZD with 8.5 million visitors per year. Henderson ( mi, Ōpanuku) is a major suburb of West Auckland, in the North Island of New Zealand. It is west of Auckland city centre, and west of the Whau River, a southwestern arm of the Waitematā Harbour. The suburb is located within the Henderson-Massey Local Board of the Waitākere Ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. Geography Henderson is located between the Waitākere Ranges to the west, and the Te Atatū Peninsula in the east. The area is within the catchment of Te Wai-o-Pareira / Henderson Creek, an estuarial arm of the upper Waitematā Harbour. Henderson-Massey is a local government area in Auckland, in New Zealand's Auckland Region, governed by the Henderson-Massey Local Board and Auckland Council. It currently aligns with the council's Waitākere Ward.
