Inver Grove Heights is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 35,801 at the 2020 census. The city was formed on March 9, 1965, with the merger of the village of Inver Grove and Inver Grove Township. It is one of 186 cities and townships in the seven-county Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. Wescott is a town in Shawano County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,653 at the 2000 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 30.3 square miles (78.6 km2), of which 22.7 square miles (58.7 km2) is land and 7.7 square miles (19.8 km2) (25.26%) is water. Demographics At the 2000 census, there were 3,653 people, 1,581 households and 1,094 families residing in the town. The population density was 161.1 per square mile (62.2/km2). John Wescott Three-Decker
The John Wescott Three-Decker, also known as the Wescott-Mulcahy Three-Decker is a historic triple decker house in Worcester, Massachusetts. It is a well-preserved example of a Queen Anne triple-decker, built about 1892. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Description and history The John Wescott Three-Decker stands west of downtown Worcester in the city's Piedmont neighborhood, on the south side of Pleasant Street at Mason Street. Unusual for typical triple deckers, it is oriented with its long axis parallel to the street, in order to fit the building onto a long, narrow lot. It is a three-story wood-frame structure, with a hip roof and exterior finished in a combination of wooden clapboards and shingles. Near the center of its front facade is a slightly projecting bay of porches, with turned balusters and posts. Wescott Infant School is a coeducational infant school located in Wokingham, Berkshire, England. The school caters for children from ages four to seven ( Reception to Year 2). Children join the school as "Rising Fives" and there is a three-term intake with a maximum of around 150 children on roll each year. Wescott holds the prestigious Artsmark Gold Award from the Arts Council, and in 2003 it was awarded a DFES School Achievement Award. The school has also been awarded Healthy Schools status. Glenway Wescott (April 11, 1901 – February 22, 1987) was an American poet, novelist and essayist. Lloyd Bruce Wescott (November 21, 1907 – December 24, 1990) was an agriculturalist, civil servant, and philanthropist in New Jersey. Born and educated in Wisconsin, he moved to New York after college before settling in New Jersey where he served as a member of agricultural boards, chairman of the New Jersey State Board of Control of Institutions and Agencies, and founder and first president of the Hunterdon Medical Center. Samuel Wescott was an American politician. He was the tenth Mayor of Jersey City. He succeeded David Stout Manners. Wescott served a single term from May 4, 1857 to May 2, 1858. He was succeeded by Dudley S. Gregory. Wescott served in the New Jersey State Senate from 1860 to 1862. Seth Wescott (born June 28, 1976) is an American snowboarder. He is a two-time Olympic champion in the snowboard cross. Life and career Wescott was born in Durham, North Carolina, and lives in Whistler, British Columbia. Growing up, Wescott went to Mount Blue regional school district in Farmington, Maine. His father Jim Wescott was the Track and Cross Country coach at Colby College. He began snowboarding at age 10, but had also grown up skiing. In 1989, after competing in both sports for a few years, he stopped skiing to focus mainly on snowboarding. Wescott attended Carrabassett Valley Academy where he studied and trained with fellow Olympians Bode Miller, Jeff Greenwood, Kirsten Clark and Emily Cook.
