Werner Horn (politician)
Werner Horn (born 12 May 1970) is a South African lawyer and politician who has been one of three House Chairpersons in the National Assembly of South Africa since July 2024. He has served as a Member of Parliament since May 2014 and before that, he was a councillor of the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality between 2006 and 2014. Horn is a member of the Democratic Alliance. Career Local politics Horn is a member of the Democratic Alliance. He was elected as a councillor of the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality in March 2006. He was re-elected to a second term in May 2011. Parliamentary career Horn was elected to the National Assembly in the 7 May 2014 general election. He became an MP on 21 May 2014. 2006 South African Municipal Elections
Municipal elections were held in South Africa on 1 March 2006, to elect members to the local governing councils in the municipalities of South Africa. The municipalities form the local government of South Africa and are subdivisions of the provinces, thus making them responsible for local service delivery, such as electricity, water and fire services. All major political parties, excepting the SACP who are members of the Tripartite alliance, fielded candidates in the election. 2024 South African General Election

James Selfe (born 23 August 1955) is a South African politician, a Member of Parliament for the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA), and the party's former Federal Council Chairperson. He is also the party's Shadow Minister of Correctional Services. Selfe resigned from Parliament and as the Shadow Minister of Correctional Services with effect from 31 December 2021. Glynnis Breytenbach (born 9 August 1960, ) is a former prosecutor for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) of South Africa and a Member of Parliament for the Democratic Alliance (DA).
